SAYO

SAYO (say-yo) residing and based mainly out of Southern California , has a life long influence from everything around him. Childhood to present, looking into the future, current and past trends, all evolving into one present situation. With early roots in the love of aerosols and being creative on larger open surfaces, has now helped and shows in new current works that are being presented via more reasonably sized, movable artworks, on canvas and cradled panels, ect. The combination of lettering, imaginary beings, arrays of colors, life and nature around, and takes on more known images, are all a heavy influence in what comes to life in the works of sayo. The use of texture, and a loose fun outlook, adds a very welcoming vibe to the paintings. Works have been dated back to early 2008s, with more recent works in the past 2013-current are arrays of some canvas works that are now in good collectors and family and friends over the past years. The life long art journey and past experiences lead up to today, with recently new additions of brush paintings, mainly using acrylics, now adding a new texture and life to the works. The transition into more brush working with acrylics, added with aerosol achieves a nice depth in the work. Alot of the new works are now featuring no aerosols, mainly brushed acrylics which is fairly new. The spread of colors and strokes have made it possible to bring new visions to canvas. Capturing the good, and putting it onto canvas for everyone to enjoy forever. Thank you
